School Counsellor

The Peterborough School is seeking to expand our pastoral care team by appointing a School Counsellor to help and support pupils and staff who may be experiencing emotional problems. We are looking for a caring, compassionate, well-organised and enthusiastic person to assist in both our Prep School and the Senior School. The role may suit a recently qualified or more experienced individual.

Childcare Practitioner, Full-time Permanent

Required for September 2021

The ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have a childcare qualification up to Level 3 or above and relevant experience within an Early Years setting. We offer a competitive remuneration package in excellent, friendly working conditions, including free uniform and subsidised meals. Many of our staff have been trained to degree level while in our employment and additional training is offered in First Aid and Safeguarding.

There will be shift patterns which include 07:30am - 04:30pm, 08:00am – 06:00pm with half day off, 08:00am - 05:00pm.

Childcare Practitioner, Part-time (2 days) Permanent

Required for September 2021

The ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have a childcare qualification up to Level 3 or above and relevant experience within an Early Years setting.

Cleaner

Part-time, Maternity Cover, from September 2021

The School requires a Cleaner to work from 4:00pm – 9:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The cleaner required will be responsible for ensuring the school is presentable, whilst working within a busy Domestic Team.

Lunchtime Supervisor

12pm until 2pm Monday to Friday (Term Time only)

We are now seeking to recruit a highly effective Lunchtime Supervisor to join our successful team. The appointed person will help to supervise the School’s pupils in both the Preparatory and Senior School.  A caring disposition is essential as is enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine affinity for working with children.

Teaching Assistant

12pm until 6pm Monday to Friday (Term Time only)

We are now seeking to recruit a highly effective Teaching Assistant to join our successful team. The appointed person will deliver high quality support for learning in the Preparatory School and also work to support our Aftercare group each day.  An Early Years Childcare qualification is essential, as is enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine affinity for working with children.

Assistant Chef

Full-time, permanent - from October 2021

The School requires an Assistant Chef from 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The person will assist with the preparation, presentation and serving of all meals to an exceptional standard, along with receiving, checking and monitoring stock. There is a need to understand and cater for a wide range of dietary requirements.  Working with the kitchen team and participating in all general catering and dining room duties.
