The Peterborough School works in conjunction with The Book Trust's Book Buzz programme to ensure pupils are constantly motivated to read for pleasure and develop of lifelong love of reading.

LRC Manager, Mrs Thomson, recently contributed an article to The Book Trust about how Book Buzz is implemented here adn she has just been informed that this article is being published as an example of Best Practice.

The key event here is the annual Book Buzz Breakfast for Year 7 pupils who are treated to a delicious breakfast at which they receive a free book from a range of titles offered by The Book Trust.  The pupils contribute to the event by giving readings and performances of passages from the selection of books to teachers and their peers.
