Via lessons and extra-curricular activities, every pupil is given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities. We hope that everyone will find one or more sports that they enjoy, and that they will feel confident enough to participate in sport after they have left school.
We run successful teams in the major games – hockey, netball, tennis, athletics and rounders – and also Inter-House competitions in each activity. |
We produce an annual gymnastics display, involving girls and boys from Year 3 upwards. All children from Reception to year 9 participate in year group gymnastics competitions/class displays.
Unusually, swimming is taught from Year 2 to Year 6, throughout the year. For the last 3 years, our U11 team has won through to the National Finals of the Bazuka Swimming Relays.
In the Junior School, teams in the major games, swimming and cross-country as well as football, rugby and cricket for the boys participate in tournaments and fixtures against other schools at all levels. |
Year 10 girls experience a wider curriculum, with badminton, basketball and volleyball being added.Rowing (indoor and on the water), squash, multi-gym, fitness classes, tag rugby, cricket and football are further additions for Years 11 – 13.
