Junior Curriculum - Year 2

One day in Hamelin Town something horrible happened rats came from nowhere.Streets to houses were full of rats.So now the people were frightened.So they went to the mayor and said,“You have to get rid of those rats.”But then someone peculiar came in with a red and yellow cloak.He looked very posh.He said, “Good morning sir.”

“Oh how very kind.If you get rid of the rats I will give you 60000 shillings.”

“All right, but don’t lie.”

So off he went.He played his pipe, he played a lovely tune.He went to the river.They swam but they began to drown.“I will go back to the mayor and get my 60000 shillings.”But when he got to the mayor’s palace he did not get his shillings.

Then he made the pied piper really mad.So the Pied Piper played his magic flute one more time.This time the children followed the Pied Piper and he lead the children into a cave.Suddenly the Pied Piper disappeared.One was left behind.So he went back home and told everybody about the children.So the town’s people decided to throw the mayor out.So that’s what they did.And actually the children enjoyed their new home.
