Many parents find our small set sizes attractive. The Centre for Economic Policy Research’s report found that being taught in small classes is directly linked to children’s potential to be high earners in later life. This advantage is enjoyed by every student at Peterborough High. We aim for 15 children in each class.
Other parents are attracted by our sporting renown – we frequently play at county and national levels – and others seek the opportunities offered by our busy and highly regarded Music and Drama departments. It is a tremendously exciting time for these departments in particular, with the recent completion of the Centre for Creative Arts.
Our on-site Nursery in its beautiful location is outstandingly well staffed and, with advantageous links to the main school, provides an “education with character” for the tiniest Peterborough High School pupils, including babies from six weeks.
Our position in Peterborough, only a three-minute taxi drive from the railway station, makes us convenient for commuting parents. Overseas boarders enjoy fast access to the London airports, as we are only 50 minutes away from London by train.
Girls and boys frequently contribute to the decision of where they are educated; they tend to choose us because they have fun when they spend time with us, in the classroom and beyond, and they make friends easily.
We aim to launch our students into the world beyond school with the best academic qualifications they can achieve and a uniquely happy and well–rounded educational experience.
