The Nursery curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage, which is then tailored to the needs of the individual child by the child’s key worker.A key worker is allocated to each child and through observation, encourages the child to develop at his/her own level of ability. The key worker is also responsible for compiling a folder of the child’s messy play and mark-making work and writing a report about the child. The child’s folder of work and their report are sent home at Christmas, Easter and during the summer period.
The Nursery advises parents by letter of the forthcoming planned activities.Details of the curriculum plans are displayed on the notice boards in all of the separate units. The planned activities are tailored to the age and ability of the children. |
